The Moon The Sun “LOVE “

About the Moon and the Sun…

As you can see, one of my favorite symbols that I place in my work is The Moon and The Sun. I truly adore the love espoused in the poems that I quote about them. I’ve even got the Sun and Moon motif tattooed on my arms. ; )

Why the Moon and the Sun?  Let’s start with my own favorite aspect. I love the heavenly bodies in the sky — the Moon, Sun, Stars and the Sky itself. Everything about this Universe is magical to me. I love the mystery and inexplicable that is represented by the galaxies formed by the stars and planetary bodies that populate them. We have come so far in our study and science of astronomy, yet there is so much mystery still out there…so much yet explained. So many questions yet to ask.

There may be other worlds out there. They may even be populated by mythical creatures such as Unicorns and Mermaids. I can believe this. Not only that, I long to believe this. Perhaps, they are out there. Maybe they hide from us. They choose to reveal themselves in momentous times or times when humanity lacks but needs wonder.

I love to gaze into the sky on clear nights and imagine the unimaginable. I see a Shooting Star or a Comet and I wonder’ “What could it be? Is it always so easily explained? Why could it not be something truly wonderful gliding across the night sky?”

It is difficult to Stargaze in a big city like Bangkok where I now live. I have my memory, though. One of my best experiences that i will never forget is back in 2013 when I visited India for the first time — my backpacker adventure with the girls.  It was at night…almost 3 A.M.India time. The plane would land in and hour. I looked around the cabin and everyone seemed to be asleep. The cabin lights were off. I was wide awake and looking out my window. I always get a window seat when flying. My heart was beating so fast and my eyes grew wider and wider. I even felt like I might cry. We were above the clouds and the skies were so clear. I was so near the heavens. The closest I’d ever been. I felt as though I could reach out and touch the stars. I could converse with them and feel them. They were passing on to me their legacy and felt fortunate to be able to be so close to them out there in the night sky. Such beauty that was unimaginable to me.

As you can tell I’m a stargazer and that makes me a dreamer…

So I bring that wonder and love to the designs and creations that become The Moon and The Star. I draw upon my imagination and inspiration from the heavens  to bring them to life in Jewelry.

“Sometimes ,I think of the Sun and The Moon as lovers,Who rarely meet, alway chase, and almost always miss one another. But once in a while ,they do catch up,and they kiss, and the world stares in awe of the eclipse”

Thank you for reading this and I hope you love Wanderluster Dreams’ The Sun and The Moon !

Outrage is not a Strategy

Silk Roads and Siamese Smiles

Image“Outrage is not a strategy. I thought military action always had to have a purpose behind it – so what is the endstate here? Hit, and then hope?

“I am not sure in what way even limited strikes help the people living in my constituency: how does this further Britain’s or America’s national security?

“There cannot be a sane person in Britain who would not think it a good thing for us to get involved in the war in Syria if by doing so it would ease the horrors faced by the Syrian people – and dire risks to people in neighbouring countries.

“We must be guided not by our alliance to America, but by our duty to understand that military force should only be used in support of a clear purpose and with a clear objective in mind – in support of our national interest. I am…

Gemstone BoHo Soul Bracelets

cuff braceletes Gemstone BoHo Soul Cuff Bracelets

I really love big cuff bracelets. I feel like they are a window to my soul. They’re a display of self perception and the way I wish to be perceived by the outside world. They’re a statement piece. Easy to spot. A dazzling, bejeweled splash of ostentation. Sometimes, I want to be noticed and wish to have a visually enticing aura. I slide on a giant cuff and proceed into the day or night looking for adventure.

When you wear these Boho Soul Cuff Bracelets, you’ll be noticed. People will react. I suppose they’re not for everyone but they are for the adventurous wandering person who wants to grab life by the throat and ride it to the finish.

As with all of my jewelry, these are handcrafted with love and affection. All of my designs come from the heart and soul yearning to come to life and be worn by the good people of the world.

I fall in love with every design and creation and I hope you will, too. I think you can see evidence of this from every finished piece. We strive for style and to make each piece unique.

This piece is made with Brass and copper. It is hand-sawed and detailed using hammer texturing techniques. Finally, I finished it with patina painting. The band width is adjustable and can fit up to three large stones with your choice of turquoise and/or lapis lazuli). 🙂

There are 4 pieces in the Wander Luster Soul Necklace Collection
These are the 1st necklace collection that I have created for the Wanderluster Dreams Brand.
Wanderluster Soul:
The  inspiration for this collection is the wild thing inside of us all.  That part of our soul that craves to get out there and satiate our curiosity, explore the unknown world and wants to know the things that we don’t know.  It’s the animal inside of us for we are all born to be wild.
The Wanderluster Soul necklace is my physical manifestation of this restless spirit that resides in all of us.
I designed and created these pieces using symbol that we see everywhere such as the triangle which is a sacred symbol across the world.  Think of the Pyramids, Freemasons, and the early Greek Philosophers.  Even Angkor Wat and the primordial heavens of Hindu belief is based upon a triangle of sorts.
I freed the triangle from it’s traditional constraints and expanded it.  This is my “free mind” design ( free mind design — I just sit, relax myself and design each of    them as the spirits moved me to do so).  The design is how I felt in the moment.  When I feel it is enough and as it should be.  For this collection I made 4 of Wanderlust Soul necklaces. One for me…and the rest I want to share with you.   This is not just a necklace but a repository for your inner wild thing waiting to be unleashed upon the world.
